Indiana Jones

I started watching the Indiana Jones trilogy again last night. First, I know there were four movies, but I don’t count the newest one. It was terrible. Last night started with Raiders Of The Lost Ark. It’s been a good few years since I saw this last, and I forgot just how great that movie was. With visual effects hard to come by in the 80s, the crew had to rely on skill and technique to get the movie across as intended.

I’m not knocking visual effects mind you, but it’s refreshing to see a movie that, melting Nazis excluded, had very few to no effects. This, paired with an amazing musical score, makes for a really solid movie that stands the test of time.

Tomorrow night is The Temple Of Doom, which I am looking forward to, since this was one of my favorite movies as a kid. The part with the monkey skulls always freaked me out.

Until then, Cheers!
